4. Now that you’ve had this professional development experience, how do you see your leadership role further impacting your work environment?

World Champion Boxer Mike Tyson once said something to the effect, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face." I have some fear that the punch in the face is the inevitable tugs in so many directions that begin once the school year begins. This is a fear that the project may not get the boost it deserves; however, my intuition tells me that there are more willing partners to help bring more PD to the staff. I feel the more that I make the case with the "force magnifier" concept, I will receive more support to pursue the project. The "Lego Bricks" metaphor from the HOW portion of my Management Plan lay out the case that so many parties within the school and community will see benefits. Since the motives for a project like this are not for status, ego, or financial, the buy in will filter out those that see the merit of the goal.

5. If you had one more day in the Institute, what would you like to learn more about and why? How will you leverage your professional learning network and your new digital literacies to explore your remaining questions over the coming year?

I would not need more time working on my Tier 2 project; rather, a full day dedicated to observing, networking, and clarifying Tier 1 Dyads would be very helpful. There was so much creativity in this year's dyads and I needed more time to listen and let my mind marinate over the potential application or adaptation of these great projects. Almost like in the 2nd day of the Showcase, we can return to the dyads and ask more technical questions or offer a space for some tutoring of the actual tools or discussion of the ideas fueling the dyad- these may not be available upon the first interaction.
